The author of the New Testament book of Hebrews reminds his readers, "Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood by the side of those who were mistreated." We in the USA are blessed with freedom of religion. The International Day of Payer for the Persecuted Church reminds us to identify with those who suffer persecution. ~
