podcast "Creation captured"
Communion Sunday 5/1/2022 — Dan Nygaard
click the play symbol … allow ten seconds for audio to begin

Hope Community produces a weekly podcast to complement our Sunday gathering at the Northside Center. Listen in, sing along, pray aloud, reflect on what you hear. This week is a DIY Communion podcast. And, you're invited to send us your questions or comments.

We take a look back and ask a hard question. What necessitated Christ's entry into human suffering? What happened that degraded God's good creation? Why is suffering the primary human condition? The first chapters of the Bible record what happened, but too many people are too sophisticated to take it seriously.

When I look into the sky
I see the touch of an Artist's hand
I see the world that You designed
Here in awe I humbly stand
Who compares to You?

O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is Your name
With the earth we rejoice
While the angels sing Your praise
How majestic is Your name

Who am I that You would mind
And yet You know every part of me
You give me love, You give me life
To know Your heart is my destiny
None compares to You

O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is Your name
With the earth we rejoice
While the angels sing Your praise
How majestic is Your name

Your glory is higher than all the earth and heavens
Your beauty, Your splendor go on and on forever
Your glory is higher than all the earth and heavens
Your beauty, Your splendor go on and on forever

O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is Your name
With the earth we rejoice
While the angels sing Your praise

O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is Your name
With the earth we rejoice
While the angels sing Your praise

How majestic is Your name
How majestic is Your name
How majestic is Your name

DIY Communion
Get a bite of cracker or bread, and a swallow of red wine or grape juice.
Then as you listen to
"How Firm a Foundation"
prayerfully, repentantly, thankfully
eat the bread and drink the cup of the Lord
in remembrance of what Christ has done and what He has promised.

Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever
Amen.
