People celebrated Jesus entrance into Jerusalem, humbly riding a donkey. They understood Jesus' message. They realized the way He entered the city boldly announced He was fulfilling ancient prophecy. Jesus announced Himself as Israel's true and rightful king. But the prophecy Jesus went out of His way to fulfill claimed more than His being Israel's king. The prophecy claimed the humble donkey rider to be the true king of the whole world.
