Hope Community produces a weekly podcast to complement our Sunday gathering in the Northside Center. Listen in, sing along, pray together, and reflect on what you hear. And please do send us your questions or comments.

The New Testament book of Luke records many amazing miracles witnessed by the twelve disciples—Jesus walking on water, calming a storm, feeding thousands with a few loaves and fishes. Not only did they see miracles, but they were empowered to do miracles. It is interesting, then, according to the Bible Jesus disciples asked Jesus to teach them only one thing: "Lord, teach us to pray."

Who has held the oceans in His hands?
Who has numbered every grain of sand?
Kings and nations tremble at His voice
All creation rises to rejoice
Behold our God, seated on His throne
Come let us adore Him
Behold our King, nothing can compare
Come let us adore Him

Who has given counsel to the Lord?
Who can question any of His words?
Who can teach the One who knows all things?
Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds?
Behold our God, seated on His throne
Come let us adore Him
Behold our King, nothing can compare
Come let us adore Him

Who has felt the nails upon His hands?
Bearing all the guilt of sinful man
God eternal, humbled to the grave
Jesus, Savior risen now to reign
Behold our God, seated on His throne
Come let us adore Him
Behold our King, nothing can compare
Come let us adore Him

You will reign forever

You will reign forever (let Your glory fill the earth)

Behold our God, seated on His throne

Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever
Amen.

I'm standing at your door
My heart is calling yours
Come fall into my arms
You're weary from it all
Been running for too long
I'm here to bring you home

I'm reaching out
I'll chase you down
I dare you to believe how much I love you now
Don't be afraid
I am your strength
We'll be walking on the water, dancing on the waves

Look up and lift up your eyes
The future's open wide
I have great plans for you, O yes I do
Your past is dead and gone
Your healing has begun
I'm making all things new

I'm reaching out
I'll chase you down
I dare you to believe how much I love you now
Don't be afraid
I am your strength
We'll be walking on the water, dancing on the waves

I set every star into place
So you would remember my Name
I made it all for you
You are My masterpiece
You are the reason I sing
This is My song for you

I set every star into place
So you would remember my Name
I made it all for you
You are My masterpiece
You are the reason I sing
This is My song for you

I'm reaching out
I'll chase you down
I dare you to believe how much I love you
Don't be afraid
I am your strength
We'll be walking on the water, dancing on the waves
Walking on the water, dancing on the waves

"Lord, Teach Us to Pray"
Question: what would you ask Jesus to teach you?
Scripture:
Luke 11.1-4
Principle: Lord, teach us to pray
Question: am I a person of prayer?
Problem: we ask but do not receive
Challenge: more is accomplished through prayer than this world can imagine
Hope: prayer invites God in
