The New Testament book of Luke includes the story of John the Baptist, an odd man who rose to prominence prior the launch of Jesus ministry. John's divinely ordained role was to prepare the Jewish people for Messiah who would soon be revealed. However, Messiah would be revealed in an unexpected fashion. ~

I believe in the Son
I believe in the Risen One
I believe I overcome
By the power of His blood

Amen, amen
I'm alive, I'm alive because He lives
Amen, amen
Let my song join the one that never ends
Because He lives

I was dead in the grave
I was covered with sin and shame
I heard mercy call my name
He rolled the stone away!

Amen, amen
I'm alive, I'm alive because He lives
Amen, amen
Let my song join the one that never ends

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives every fear is gone
I know He holds my life
My future in His hands
Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives every fear is gone
I know He holds my life
My future in His hands

Amen, amen
I'm alive, I'm alive because He lives
Amen, amen
Let my song join the one that never ends
Amen, amen
I'm alive, I'm alive because He lives
Amen, amen
I'm alive, I'm alive because He lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives every fear is gone
I know He holds my life
My future in His hands
Because He lives
Because He lives

Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever
Amen.

By Faith

By faith we see the hand of God
In the light of creation’s grand design
In the lives of those who prove His faithfulness
Who walk be faith and not by sight

By faith our fathers roamed the earth
With the power of His promise in their hearts
Of a holy city built by God’s own hand
A place where peace and justice reign

We will stand as children of the promise
We will fix our eyes on Him our soul’s reward
Till the race is finished and the work is done
We’ll walk by faith and not by sight

By faith the prophets saw a day
When the longed-for Messiah would appear
With the power to break the chains of sin and death
And rise triumphant from the grave

By faith the church was called to go
In the power of the Spirit to the lost
To deliver captives and to preach good news
In every corner of the earth

We will stand as children of the promise
We will fix our eyes on Him our soul’s reward
Till the race is finished and the work is done
We’ll walk by faith and not by sight

By faith this mountain shall be moved
And the power of the gospel shall prevail
For we know in Christ all things are possible
For all who call upon His name

We will stand as children of the promise
We will fix our eyes on Him, our soul’s reward
Till the race is finished and the work is done
We’ll walk by faith and not by sight

O, we will stand as children of the promise
We will fix our eyes on Him, our soul’s reward
Till the race is finished and the work is done—
We’ll walk by faith and not by sight
Who walk by faith and not by sight
