We return to our study of the apostle Paul's
Letter to Rome. In that first century letter the apostle boldly claims God will not condemn those who are in Christ Jesus. Question is, what did the apostle mean when he wrote "… those who are in Christ Jesus" ? ~

Come Thou Fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the Mount, I'm fixed upon it
Mount of God's redeeming love

Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood
How His kindness yet pursues me
Mortal tongue can never tell
Clothed in flesh till death shall loose me
I cannot proclaim it well

O, to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart, O take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

Hallelujah! He has saved me
Hallelujah! He has come
Hallelujah! It is finished
O, the victory has been won

O, awaken all Thee children
Hear the call of Father's love
This salvation not for keeping
But to share and to award
A generation You desire
Bringing Jesus to the lost
No other worthy cause we cling to
Than the one shone on the cross

Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever
Amen.

My King is Known by Mercy

Heaven's crown You laid aside
For the weight of love You came to die
On gruesome cross for cursed heart
The hand of God brought light to dark
And buried all my shame
Beneath His holy name

My King is known by mercy
From shadow forth He calls me
His hands are hands of healing
My King is known by mercy

I see the sun rise in the east
The reign of night at last shall cease
O, crimson flood that washes me
This royal blood marks His decree
His grace is given freely
That death may not defeat me

See my King, His crown of thorns
From His side the waters poured
My brokenness He has restored
Sin and death have claim no more

For my King is known by mercy
From shadow forth He calls me
His hands are hands of healing
My King is known by mercy
