Hope Community produces a weekly podcast to complement our Sunday gathering in the Northside Center. Listen in, sing along, pray together, then send in your questions or comments.

In his
Letter to Rome the apostle Paul provocatively claims that humans are slaves to sin. We do not do pursue our deepest desires, but instead act in ways we think will satisfy us physically. Satiating our material desires brings only brief relief. Those deep desires remain unfulfilled. But instead of choosing a new direction, like a slave we keep doing what can never fulfill us. ~

Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass & whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forever more

Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
Bless the Lord O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
I’ll worship Your holy name

Your grace that leads this sinner home
From death to life forevermore
And sings the song of righteousness
By blood and not be merit

Your grace that reaches far and wide
To every tribe and nation
Has called my heart to enter in
The joy of Your salvation
By grace I am redeemed
By grace I am restored
And now I freely walk into
The arms of Christ my Lord

Your grace that I cannot explain
Not by my earthly wisdom
The Prince of Life without a stain
Was traded for this sinner
By grace I am redeemed
By grace I am restored
And now I freely walk into
The arms of Christ my Lord

Let praise rise up and overflow
My song resound forever
For grace will see me welcomed home
To walk beside my Savior
By grace I am redeemed
By grace I am restored
And now I freely walk into
The arms of Christ my Lord

By grace I am redeemed
By grace I am restored
And now I freely walk into
The arms of Christ my Lord

Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever
Amen.
